AUXFIN Uganda and AVSI Partner to drive digital transformation in refugee communities
AUXFIN Uganda is proud to announce a new partnership with AVSI aimed at advancing financial inclusion and strengthening community resilience through digital innovation.
Under this collaboration, AVSI is leveraging AUXFIN’s digital solutions to modernize its Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) and Y Connect Program. The one-year pilot project is currently being implemented in Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Isingiro District, where it is supporting both refugee and host communities to access more efficient, transparent, and accountable financial services.
The initiative reflects AUXFIN’s continued commitment to rural transformation through technology. By digitizing community savings and lending systems, the project is already delivering promising results, including improved financial access, enhanced record keeping, greater transparency, and increased economic empowerment for participants.
As communities embrace these digital tools, they are gaining stronger foundations for managing savings, accessing financial services, and building sustainable livelihoods.
The success of the pilot is expected to pave the way for expansion into other refugee settlements where AVSI operates, enabling even more communities across Uganda to benefit from innovative and inclusive financial solutions.
At AUXFIN , we believe technology is a powerful catalyst for rural transformation. Through strategic partnerships and locally relevant digital solutions, we remain committed to empowering underserved communities, strengthening resilience, and creating pathways to sustainable economic growth.
Together with AVSI, we are demonstrating how innovation can unlock opportunity and drive lasting impact where it is needed most.
