Celebrating a Year of Impact: Empowering Refugees through Digital Transformation
AUXFIN Uganda is thrilled to announce the successful completion of a year-long project that has brought transformative change to refugee communities.
Over the past year,we have achieved remarkable milestones:
• Activated 7,200 Users on the VSLA App: Enabling community groups to access financial services efficiently.
• Disbursed over UGX 200 million in Loans: Through our financial partners, we have supported these groups with life-changing financial opportunities.
UMVA, our in-house digital platform has been at the heart of this transformation, delivering:
• Secure Digital Identities: Empowering refugees by providing access to essential services through digitalization.
• Connections to Financial Services: Linking individuals to savings accounts, loans, and other tools to foster economic resilience and stability.
• Enhanced Financial Literacy: Equipping individuals with the knowledge to manage their finances, creating more resilient, sustainable futures.
This initiative represents a significant step toward financial inclusion for the refugee communities, fostering growth, self-reliance, and economic empowerment. At the same time, we are preparing to add more of our transformative digital solutions, including AgriCoach.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners—Grameen Foundation, AVSI Foundation, IFDC, UGAFODE, Homa Farms, Finance Trust Bank, and Jubilee Finance—along with all the stakeholders and the communities we serve. Collaboration and dedication have been instrumental in achieving these results.
Stay tuned as we continue to share inspiring stories of impact and progress on our journey to empower communities in Uganda.
