The Government of Burundi continues to make efforts to improve agriculture. A good improvement of agriculture requires a good knowledge of farmers. Through its PNSEB program (National program for fertilizers subsidy), farmers obtain chemical fertilizers at subsidized prices. It is important to have a solid and good quality database to better serve farmers. In this work, AUXFIN has received the trust of the partners. Thus, all over the country, since the end of May (May 27th), AUXFIN Burundi is registering farmers in the UMVA platform. Once registered, farmers receive a unique identification number. At the end of this registration, more than one million farmers will be in the UMVA database. AUXFIN Burundi has deployed more than 200 agents to carry out this noble work. Thus, each municipality has 2 activators and as many supervisors as provinces. This is to ensure a better quality of work in progress.
